Fell Running Newcastle AC, formed in 1981, is a Hill Running Club, Road Running Club and Track Club, but is also much more than that. Newcastle is arguably one of the premier clubs in Northern Ireland and indeed now one of the largest.
Golf Established in 1893, Warrenpoint Golf Club is an 18-Hole Parkland Course, situated in the Heart of County Down, six miles from the Newry City, and is set in part of the luxurious Hall Estate which is home to the famous Narrow Water Castle, the inspiration for our Club Logo.The course itself measures over 6000 yards in length, set in an area renowned for its natural beauty, surrounded by the Mourne Mountains on one side and Carlingford Lough on the other, and is ranked as one of the top Parkland Courses in Northern Ireland.
Fishing Carlingford Lough Sea Angling was formed to meet the growing demand for a modern and safe all-year round sea fishing facility. The Sharon Michèlé is now the only licence passenger and angling boat on the coast of Co. Down and Co.Louth.with a P5 Licence. Skipper Oliver Finnegan has many years seafaring and diving experience around the Lough and northeast coast of Ireland.The northeast coast is an area of ourstanding natural beauty. The Lough is flanked by the famous Mourne Mountains and the Carlingford Mountains.
Rostrevor Equestrian Centre is a friendly riding school and livery yard. We opened on the 14th November 2009 and started teaching with only 10 ponies. Now we have currently 20 horses and still growing. We have excellent facilities so what ever the weather, come and enjoy a lesson in our indoor arena or flood-lit out door arena.We have regular show jumping leagues, which usually start at 7pm on Friday nights. Everyone is welcome and all go home with a rosette, the overall winner gets a big prize such as a horse riding jacket or horse equipment.
Go KartingEstablished in February 1992, we opened our doors with a single track arena. The turn of the century saw Formula Karting install a second track on top of the existing track. This model was based on similar tracks in Holland and Germany. In 2006 Formula Karting was upgraded. The new re-modeled Formula Karting included the development of the luxury viewing area and hospitality suites. The year 2008 seen the introduction of the third track to Formula Karting’s circuit portfolio, track three has been regarded as Formula Karting’s most challenging track to date. With the addition of track three, we are delighted to be the largest indoor karting centre in Europe.etc

Newry and Mourne Council offer a variety of leisure services . details on their web site which is less than easy to navigate . There is little reference to tennis . Courts can be booked outside Club hours with the Park Warden below the Cafe
